I am so excited to share with you photos of a 3D museum which me and my husband visited last March 14. It is called “Art in Island,” which opened just last December 2014.
This is located in Cubao, Quezon City. It’s at the back of Cubao Expo, behind Ali Mall. Please see map on how to get there.
This is a must-see place in Metro Manila. It’s new and one of a kind here in the Philippines. I know there’s a museum like this in Singapore.
If you plan to visit different places in Metro Manila, I suggest you book a hotel in Ortigas or Mandaluyong, which is in between Makati and other nearby cities. That way, if you want to go to this museum, it’s just a few minutes away.
By the way, if you would like to book a hotel through Booking.com, please check if the hotel you have selected will not refund your downpayment or will not refund your deposit at all in case you cancel. That’s a policy for some hotels so booking.com will not be responsible if your money will not be refunded.
Going back to Art in Island, be sure you bring socks with you so you can wear it when you tour the museum. You will be required to take your shoes off.
We didn’t know that so on the latter part of our tour, our feet started to ache. Also, bring phone chargers or power banks coz our phones were fully charged before we left home yet it got drained due to numerous shots in the museum.
Just a tip: If you want to blend well with the 3D art, be prepared to pose artrageously so it comes out like you’re really part of the painting. You must be artrageuos!
We did a lot of kneeling and sitting 😊. It’s one of a kind museum. It was tiring but we had so much fun taking photos.
Entrance fee: P500/person or less than $12/head. Fee doesn’t include anything like food or souvenirs. It opens at 9:30 am and closes at 9:30pm. It is best to visit this museum during weekdays so there will be less visitors.
